• Personal and professional development programJob SummaryThe Director of Quality Engineering will lead the quality engineering competency within our organization. This role is pivotal in standardizing our approach to testing, automation, test data management, and governance. This person will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met across all software development projects, driving innovation and continuous improvement in our engineering practices. This role will also involve strategic planning and collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate quality engineering practices into all stages of the software development lifecycle. The Director will be responsible for defining and tracking key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts and providing regular updates to stakeholders. Additionally, the Director will lead and manage the quality engineering team, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.You will
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of a comprehensive quality engineering competency for the organization.
  • Standardize testing methodologies, automation frameworks, test data management, and governance processes across the organization.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, ensuring that testing activities adhere to established standards, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality engineering practices are integrated into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Define and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation of team members.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality engineering and incorporate them into the organization's processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of our engineering practices.
  • Establish processes for defect tracking, reporting, and resolution.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice awareness across the organization to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.You have
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on testing, automation, test data management, and governance.
    • Proven experience in leading the implementation of quality engineering competencies.
    • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and quality assurance processes.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with modern testing tools and frameworks.EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience in Information Technology or Business-related field.
