TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Hermitage, Tennessee, 37076 Pay Information $1,724 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Critical thinking skills - EKG rhythm interpretation - Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips - Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred - Peripheral IV skills Job Description: - Work in a unit with 34 beds and 25 beds, requiring a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:5 to 1:6 on nights - Staffed with techs, up to 3 on one floor and 2 on another when full - Utilize equipment such as BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, and various drips - Familiarity with Meditech documentation system - Required to work every other weekend; 3 12-hour shifts per week - May need to float between PCU units or to medical-surgical floors - Conduct hourly rounding during days and every 2-hour rounding during nights; adhere to AIDET and maintain communication boards - Engage in procedures like peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, Dobhoff/NG tube insertions, and central line dressing changes - Troubleshoot wound vacs in collaboration with wound care - Wear designated black scrubs as part of the dress code - Promote a care-like family culture with excellent teamwork where most travelers extend their assignments This position offers a supportive and team-oriented environment with tech assistance for patient care and self-scheduling facilities, with 4-week schedules and every other weekend required for the contract. 26945660EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
