TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Hermitage, Tennessee, 37076 Pay Information $1,724 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00, including every other weekend Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Critical thinking skills - EKG rhythm interpretation - Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips - Preferred experience with peritoneal dialysis and peripheral IV skills - Experience with bipaps, high flow oxygen, and multiple oxygen delivery systems - Experience with stroke and post-cardiac cath care - Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes Job Description: - Provide nursing care in a fast-paced PCU setting - Work with equipment such as bipaps, high flow oxygen, vapotherm, Alaris pumps, and wound vacs - Perform procedures including peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, Dobhoff/NG tube insertions, and central line dressing changes - Utilize Meditech for documentation - Collaborate with unit secretaries and techs for optimal patient care - Conduct hourly rounding during day shifts and every 2-hour rounding at night - Employ AIDET and utilize communication boards to enhance patient experience - Participate in self-scheduling within a 4-week schedule - Adhere to the dress code of black scrubs - Engage in a workplace culture that emphasizes care and teamwork - Opportunities for contract extensions frequently available for travelers 27179982EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
